When & Where:
Join us August 16-17, 2025, for our next tournament. The tournament will be hosted at Goodies Texas in Mckinney, TX, with overflow space inside North Texas Yoga (a few doors down). This tournament will be limited to 64 attendees. Experience Texas-sized hospitality in the charming downtown historic district of Mckinney, TX, located in the heart of north Texas. Within walking distance of your venue, you’ll find breweries, arcades, coffee shops, wineries, great dining, and more. Plus, you’ll experience a weekend of competitive mahjong. We can’t wait to have you join us!
Schedule: Check-in each day beginning at 8:30am, with announcements at 9:15 and game play beginning at 9:30. Last hanchan Saturday begins at 5:10pm and 3:30pm on Sunday, with awards at 5pm. All participants are expected to complete ALL ROUNDS.

Event Details:
WRC Ruleset with red 5’s, with 9 hanchan over two days.
mod 6.3 lower penalties, mod 2.1 red 5’s
Seven hanchan scramble, with a 2 hanchan final - 9 total hanchan
***everyone will play all 9 hanchan, with top 4 playing the last two hanchan for the win, while everyone else plays to secure final placement. (scores reset for top 4 when finals begin.) All players are expected to complete all 9 hanchan

Prizes: All participants will receive a goody bag, sodas and bottled water with afternoon snack provided each day. Top four will receive lovely items that are unknown at this time, but could include tile sets, mahjong themed prizes, etc…
Free play will be offered on Friday & Saturday night.
We will be using the www.scoremj.com system for tracking the tournament. Please set up your account with this site and send us your username via Discord.
All participants are expected to abide by the American Riichi Association Code of Conduct. If you witness unbecoming behavior, please contact the Tournament Organizer immediately.
